of emotionlike announcement
from my running
while having reached
one of the wintry,
gravel paths of Daniel’s Peace.
By the free verse of constant time,
the light seemingly stuck
in clandestine places
to this land’s privation
invokes the heights
of bare trees
I pass between,
with such undefinable silence
becoming a simplified ache
able to carry
throughout here
for miles.
