wooden mimicry in artificial light
wooden mimicry in artificial light
By Sarah Butkovi
senses in a swirling surrealist blunder
a monstrosity to look at a masterpiece to feel
shapeless mouths wax and wane
in indigo panels of stained glass
set into eyes by scalpels of solicitous
grape-colored explosions permeate every drop
of chameleon walls that absorb cosmic colors
cast from the chesiric sliver of the moon
mirrored in eyes like scythed crystal balls
connected to a face somewhere else in the room
and murmuring lips that move without mind
and a mind that cannot keep track of its
senses in a swirling surrealist blunder
