Poisoned Core

Poisoned Core

By Arya Meshram

The Apple is rotten to the core,

Snow white's story foretold,

Amidst the fog created by the crimson-red

The body lay under the starry nights

While her coffee eyes lose life

By the ticking time,

Now resembling the lifeless core

Of the apple itself,

Half-dead, absence of life

It sings a song

Tempting with promise,

Playing two truths one lie,

Cloaked in bloodthirsty desire,

Something that looks so sweet

—is the true destroyer of Eden

Crimson Inferno lies in plain sight

Consuming beauty in the darkest night
