Love Me Like A God

Will you love me like Apollo loved Hyacinthus?

With the same gentle demeanor and burning desire

Love me like I am the sun to you

Even when we both know you are the sun

Stare at me like I am nothing but a wonder

With the moon reflecting in my eyes

Oh my love won't you wipe the tears from my face

And promise me your affection

Even if I don't deserve it

Love me like Apollo loved Icarus

Let me fall for you

Let me face death and tell you I do not fear it

If you are the last thing I am to see

I shall die with a smile on my face

Knowing the sun himself stared at me like I was the entire world
