Alphabetized Abstractions.
By Bahr
Speech is a steady line
It flows from one end to another in ruminating conjunction
Just as one queues in line for a ticket
The words ponder in
Placed in a pattern so brisk but thin
Yet, in due time each tongue grows an aberration
A cyst lodged towards one’s teeth
It unfurls into a curve, spreading an icy heat
It marvels beyond the momentary pauses
And cuts through the time
It is in fact a mark or a scar if you’d like
Query as you will of what it may be
Because even with the tug of conversation,
Or pull of sound
The cyst will remain so heavenly bound.
